Firefighters Survive Alive! provides educational events Monday through Friday. Tours start anytime between 8:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. You can also schedule an evening tour between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., but all tours must be scheduled in advance

Detailed Directions to Firefighters Survive Alive!

   

The Indianapolis/ Marion County Firefighters Survive Alive! educational facility is located on the second floor of the old Fire Station #2, which is the big, red, brick building located on the northwest corner of Massachusetts Avenue at College Avenue in Indianapolis, IN. The street address is 748 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204. (Google Map Directions) This building also houses the Indianapolis Firefighters Museum and is graced by the Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Free public parking is available in the adjoining parking lot located to the west of the building and adjacent to the Memorial. The public parking lot may be entered from either Massachusetts Avenue or E. St. Clair Street. Please enter the building at the Massachusetts Avenue entrance door that is marked with the Firefighters Survive Alive! sign pictured below. For detailed directions, please call: (317) 327-6707.

Please do not confuse IFD Fire Station #7 (a working fire station) with old Fire Station #2 (which houses Firefighters Survive Alive! and the Indianapolis FIrefighters Museum). IFD FIre Station #7 is also located on Massachusetts Avenue at New Jersey Street, just a few blocks southwest of Firefighters Survive Alive! directly East of the Murat Theater. IFD Station #7 and Firefighters Survive Alive! are not located in the same building, although they are both located on Massachusetts Avenue within a few blocks of each other. Please make a note of this.

Educational programs take place twice per day on Mondays through Fridays in the Firefighters Survive Alive! classroom and village located on the second floor of the Indianapolis Firefighters Museum at 748 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

Please download and print out the attached  "CONSENT & RELEASE OF LIABILITY" form and have it signed by each child's parent or legal guardian prior to your visit. Please bring a signed form for each attending student when you visit Firefighters Survive Alive! Thank-you.
